About CSIP12

Free study material for CBSE Class 11 and 12 Computer Science and Informatics Practices.

What is CSIP12?

CSIP12 is written and maintained by a CBSE Computer Science and Informatics Practices teacher with more than 19 years of experience teaching Classes 11 and 12.

CSIP12.in is a free learning website for students of CBSE Classes 11 and 12 who study Computer Science (083) or Informatics Practices (065). Everything on the site is written to follow the current CBSE syllabus chapter by chapter, so students can learn a topic, practise it, and revise it for their school and board exams in one place.

What you will find here

How the notes are written

  • Syllabus first: chapters and topics follow the CBSE syllabus for the current session, and each class's notes are grouped into the same units as the syllabus.
  • Exam focus: exam tips point out the questions that are asked most often, and common mistakes are explained so you can avoid them.
  • Worked examples: Python programs and SQL queries are shown with their output, and you can try the Python ones yourself in the Python Lab.
  • Kept up to date: notes are revised when the syllabus changes or when a mistake is reported.

Free to use

All notes, quizzes and papers on CSIP12 are free to read. The site may show advertisements, which help pay for hosting and keep it free. Logging in is optional and is used to save your progress, bookmarks, quiz scores and leaderboard points. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service for details.

CSIP12 is an independent website and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

Who runs CSIP12

CSIP12 is run by Srimanta N Ghosh, who has taught Computer Science and Informatics Practices to Class 11 and 12 students in a CBSE school for more than 19 years. The notes grow out of that classroom experience: the topics students find hardest, the mistakes they make most often, and the questions that come up again and again in exams.
